WP1: Standardization of PQC fundamentals
This work package coordinates standardization of the basic building blocks, also
called cryptographic primitives, of post-quantum cryptography.
The objectives of this work package are as follows:
1.1 Examine the state of cryptographic solutions that are already standardized or proposed for standardization by other entities.
1.2 Make a selection of cryptographic schemes to endorse for adoption by government and industry, together with a concrete parameter selection for these schemes.
1.3 Request public feedback on the initial selection and, through several rounds of interactions with both government and industry actors, reach a consensus on which
cryptographic algorithms are to be deployed.
1.4 Continuously survey emerging topics in PQC. Outline the hot topics that require more dissemination and training efforts.
1.5 Build awareness around the needs in cryptographic protocols that can not be met using currently proposed PQC fundamentals. Bring forward the associated open
questions.
