Post-Quantum Cryptography Support Action

WP1: Standardization of PQC fundamentals

This work package coordinates standardization of the basic building blocks, also called cryptographic primitives, of post-quantum cryptography.
The objectives of this work package are as follows:

  • 1.1 Examine the state of cryptographic solutions that are already standardized or proposed for standardization by other entities.
  • 1.2 Make a selection of cryptographic schemes to endorse for adoption by government and industry, together with a concrete parameter selection for these schemes.
  • 1.3 Request public feedback on the initial selection and, through several rounds of interactions with both government and industry actors, reach a consensus on which cryptographic algorithms are to be deployed.
  • 1.4 Continuously survey emerging topics in PQC. Outline the hot topics that require more dissemination and training efforts.
  • 1.5 Build awareness around the needs in cryptographic protocols that can not be met using currently proposed PQC fundamentals. Bring forward the associated open questions.
